CULTURES Coffee House is empowering women in India facing poverty with tools and training needed to start their own small business.

Proceeds from your drink purchase will provide women in India who are facing poverty with a six month sewing course. These women will have the opportunity to learn the skills of tailoring traditional Indian clothes, soft toys, and embroidery. On graduation day the women are presented with a hand-operated sewing machine. The machines are made in India, helping the economy. Now as business women, they are able to provide for their families, allowing their children to attend school. The poverty cycle is broken through a simple gift of a $150 sewing machine!
